Elmira Baghery

Elmira Baghery is the founder of Legal Notes. Prior to founding Legal Notes, Elmira was associated with major law firms as a senior attorney. She is experienced in preventing, resolving and litigating commercial and corporate disputes, both nationally and internationally.

In addition to her work as an attorney, Elmira is a deputy justice at the Arnhem-Leeuwarden Court of Appeal and a member of the supervisory board of the Nierstichting Nederland.

Elmira is passionate professional, a sharp-minded attorney and a strategic thinker. She likes challenges and has a winner's mentality.
Elmira has a particular interest in the psychology underlying human relationships and interactions. She has a keen eye for the dynamics and emotions involved in conflict situations. During her studies, she gained expertise in mediation and the Harvard Negotiation Method, which provided her with knowledge of conflict resolution.
She effectively applies her expertise in this area when advising on and litigating disputes.


Elmira has registered the following main and (sub) areas of law in the Register of Jurisdictions of the
Dutch Bar Association:
- Corporate Law
- Litigation
Pursuant to this registration, she is required to obtain ten training points in each registered main area of law each
calendar year according to the standards of the Dutch Bar Association.

Elmira Baghery is an attorney at law and the founder of Legal Notes. Prior to the founding of Legal Notes, Elmira was associated with major law firms as a senior attorney. She is experienced in the prevention, resolution and litigation of national and cross-border commercial and corporate disputes.

Additionally, Elmira is a deputy-justice in the Court of Appeal of Arnhem-Leeuwarden. 

Elmira is a passionate, sharp-minded attorney and a strategic thinker. She likes challenges and has a winning mindset. 
Elmira is deeply interested in the psychology behind human relationships and interactions. She is very aware of, and pays special attention to, the dynamics and emotions involved in a conflict. During her study, she deepened her conflict management skills by following Harvard negotiation method and mediation courses.
She obtained her master’s degree with a thesis on the impact of the rules of law on the rise and escalation of conflicts between civilians. She uses this knowledge effectively when advising on or litigating a dispute.

Elmira regularly publishes articles and commentary notes.
